Brennig’s was developed by Nikolaus Brennig, a 23 years old male from Austria (a small country located in Europe). Nikolaus startet programming at the age of 15, when he bought his first computer. He found it a very interesting machine, and for whatever reason, he kept trying to understand how it was possible to actually write software. The solution appeared to be learning the C++ language on his own with the help of the Net and several programming books specializing in windows programming.
Brennig’s is a powerful graphics viewer for professional artists as well as photo experts. It features a fast viewing engine for all common graphics file formats (single/multipage/animated) and includes unique support for alpha channels, transparency and exposure control (f-stops).
Of course tools like an advanced batch processor/converter, screen capture, lossless jpg transformation, batch printing, crop/cut/paste are available. It can handle video and audio files too: Automatic aspect ratio correction when playing video files, or extracting all frames is possible, as well as scrolling a video as if it would be an image.
In early 2003 he started working on Brennig’s, as he wanted to have a software that can handle all major media types with ease and speed and a multifunctional but simple interface. The first officially available version of Brennig’s was released in May 2004.
Brennig’s is written in C++ using the plain Windows API without any additonal framework.
Further, Brennig’s includes an advanced browser supporting different view styles and play lists for managing your files.
Last but not least, tools like batch renaming, contact sheet creation, slideshow creation, emailing photos will make your life easier when dealing with all your image, video and audio files.
Brennig’s supports 50+ image, audio and video formats, Screen Capture, Lossless JPG Rotation, Copy/Cut/Crop/Paste, Batchprocessing/converting/renaming, Multilanguage, Drag&Drop, EXIF, SlideShow with 23 different transition effects, tools like a unique Scroll Tool or the Red Marker Tool, full support for transparency and alpha channels, High Quality Zoom,
